My children are off from school. Can they join me?

Absolutely! Volunteering at the food pantry is a great experience for children as young as elementary school. Voluntering at the pantry is also a wonderful project for students who need to complete community service hours!

Teen Board

The Teen Board consists of students in grades 9-12, from various high schools, towns and religious organizations.Teen board members develop leadership skills by organizing and staffing fundraisers and food drives. These events are held on weekends or after school hours. Teens are welcome to join us over school vacations during regular Wednesday morning pantry hours and earn community service hours too!

If you are interested in joining the Teen Board, email or join us on Facebook.

Organize a Food Drive

Your school, organization, team or scout troop can hold a Food Drive to benefit the Interfaith Food Pantry of the Oranges. Click for a current list of our Pantry Needs.

Special Project Volunteers

As the number of clients is significantly increasing, we are in need of volunteers with special skills to help us with things such as web design, database creation, fundraising, and food pickups. These are great volunteer opportunities either for pantry “regulars” or for someone who wants to get involved but is not available on Wednesday mornings. For more information please contact
